One of the new faces on the Greene County High School football coaching staff is Cole Jaeschke. He’s a former standout QB at Prairie Valley High School (Gowrie) and Upper Iowa University (Fayette). Jaeschke even went to Rookie Camp in 2015 with the Carolina Panthers.
He talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the top two quarterbacks for the Rams as official practice gets underway tomorrow. Clint Dennhardt is a junior and a returning starter, while sophomore Brent Riley was the freshman team QB in 2016. “Clint had some playing experience last year and obviously he’s going to be a key part to our offense. We also have Brent Riley. He’s a young guy in the program with a good arm and has a lot of positives going. I think the best thing for both of them is they’re going to compete, and compete hard together. They’re going to push each other and that’s what we want. You always have to have a couple guys ready because you never know what happens.”
Jaeschke works in the Jefferson business community and coaches under the direction of first year head coach Mitch Moore. Official practice for the Rams starts Monday at 3:30 p.m.
