The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.
The Board will continue discussions on two topics they’ve spent a considerable amount of time on: the local option sales tax measure for the November general election, and the pioneer cemetery ordinance. They are considering whether they want to impose a countywide sunset on the sales tax, or if they will allow the municipalities to decide for themselves. As far as the ordinance, they will look at the next draft regarding how they will handle pioneer cemeteries.
Other topics they will discuss include: a Chinese Association of Iowa educational tour; a skid loader purchase for the secondary roads department; a future court space needs workshop; and Emergency Medical Services Sole Dallas County dispatch. They will also give certificates of appreciation to eight county employees.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
