After excelling in round one, ADM baseball star Kade Overton kept up the great work in day two of the annual Iowa High School baseball All-Star Series.
After the players had some fun with bowling in the morning, it was back to work as the afternoon wrapped up round two in Waukee and Overton and the Small Schools West squad took on the Large Schools East team in the first game of the day. After playing a pivotal role in game one with a two hit, two RBI performance, Overton kept up the great work yesterday contributing 2 hits and driving in one run. Kade’s great play helped the Small Schools West team to end the game in abbreviated fashion with a 10-0 victory in 6 innings.
Through two games, Overton has struck for 4 hits and 3 RBI’s as the Small Schools West team sits at 2-0 in All-Star Series play. Both parties will look for continued success this morning as teams head to Johnston for round three. Overton and the Small Schools West team will once again open play taking on the Small Schools East squad at 11:00 am.
