Monday, July 24th

A deputy investigated a vehicle that was found in the ditch unoccupied in the 900 block of 215th Street. A 1999 Chrysler Town and County van was found with airbags deployed and around $2000 dollars damage to the vehicle. The operator was found later and it was Larry Gustoff 54 of Jefferson. Larry will be issued citations for failure to maintain control and open container.

A deputy investigated a fight on 235th and F Avenue. When the deputy arrived the subjects were gone.

Kimberly Nelson 39 of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for a probation violation.

A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Maple Street.

Tuesday, July 25th

A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street and Eaton Avenue.

A deputy investigated a mail scam in the 1300 block of 190th Street.

A deputy conducted a welfare check in 220th Street west of Scranton.

A deputy assisted an ambulance in the 1000 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

A deputy investigated a railroad crossing arm down at 9th Street and 13th Street, Grand Junction.

A deputy investigated a theft of gas in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 800 block of 230th Street.

Wednesday, July 26th

A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Cedar Street, Scranton.

A deputy assisted an ambulance with a medical call in the 100 block of Meriam Street, Farlin.

A deputy investigated a threat in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.

Kyle Rysavy 18 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for harassment 3rd degree and disorderly conduct.

Thursday, July 27th

A deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch on 217th Street. Tray Anderson 22 of Adair was operating a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and got over toward the shoulder because of an oncoming car and slid into the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.

The Sheriff and Chief Deputy investigated a single car accident on 305th Street just east of R Avenue. Michael Correy 57 of Story City was traveling east bound and swerved to miss a deer. Michael lost control of the vehicle and went into the south ditch and struck a tree. Michael was operating a 2017 Nissan Murano. The vehicle was totaled. Michael had left the scene. Michael will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident with damage to a vehicle, failure to maintain control, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

A deputy investigated a burglary in the 900 block of East Hager Street, Grand Junction.

A deputy was called to the jail for an unruly inmate.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
