The championship path continues on for ADM track stars Keaton Kester and Sadie Juergens as both earned success early in the Hershey Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Lawrence Kansas.

Both Kester and Juergens earned their spots on the championship track in two separate events each and both took on one of those yesterday. Both would put on some early success in qualifying staring with Sadie Juergens in the 800 meter run. Out of 51 runners only the top 8 would advances and when the dust settled Juergens posted 2:19.32 which was good enough for sixth place and the right to move on. Juergens now qualifies for the final in 15-16 age group final for the 800 meter run taking place on Saturday beginning at 1:15 pm. The next event up for Juergens will be the 400 meter dash for the 15-16 age group set to take place tomorrow morning at 11:00 am.

As for the afternoon, it was reserved for Keaton Kester in the 200 meter dash where she would keep up the phenomenal work clocking in with a time of 24.75 seconds. Kester needed to rest in the top two of her heat have one of the next 10 fastest times and she did just that placing 9th overall. She now moves on to the 200 meter semi-finals for the 17-18 age group which is set to take place today at 3:50 pm where Kester is labeled as the third seed. Kester will have double duty today as she will take on the 17-18 girls 100 meter dash prelims that take place at 2:10 pm this afternoon.
