As the weekend draws closer, the Adair County Fair has an entire day packed full of entertainment on Saturday.

The morning begins with another free breakfast, this time it is sponsored by Agriland FS Foundation at 7am at the food stand. The cat, junior feeder calf, cow/calf, breeding heifer, lead cow/calf and feed calf shows all follow the breakfast. The fun horse show, along with the rabbit and feeder calves shows will be at 9am. The baby show takes place at 10am, followed by the pedal pull at 11.

The afternoon activities include the junior and senior cowgirl queen contest, the dairy goat and dairy show, the ice cream social, market beef and beef showmanship show and Blank Park Zoo demonstrations. The evening activities begins with the Share the Fun contest at 5pm, along with a kid’s coin scramble in the grandstand at 7pm. Fair Board Vice President Gina Meisenheimer says the coin scramble is very entertaining.

“We have a roped off little area, and we throw a bunch of money out in there. And then the kids get to come out and it’s kind of a free-for-all. They can just pick up all that they can pick up and then they get to take that with them.”

Following the kid’s coin scramble will be the Kids Power Wheel Demo Derby at 7:30pm, followed by the teen dance starting at 9pm.

Plus, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be there broadcasting live from 10am to 6pm today and tomorrow, and 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
