golfThe annual Greene County Medical Center Foundation golf outing is in a couple of weeks.

The event is happening at the Jefferson Community Golf Course on Friday, August 4th. Registrations check-ins begin at 10am for the four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 10:30. Lunch will be served at 11:30 and a putting contest will begin at 9:30. Along with the golf outing are several contests including two hole-in-one contests, a 50/50 raffle drawing, on the green contest, a silent auction and a wine pull. Foundation Director Hollie Roberts talks about the prizes for one of the contests.

“This year for the first time for our golf event, we’re going to have two opportunities for the hole-in-one prizes. One is a three-day, two-night trip to Las Vegas and the second one is a trip to the Masters in Atlanta, Georgia and that’s four-days and three-nights.”

Roberts says all proceeds will go back to the Foundation for their capital campaign to purchase a 3D mammography machine.

Businesses can also be hole sponsors and there are four options available for that with certain benefits. The cost for a team of four is $250 and the registration deadline is by Monday, July 24th. To sign up, call Roberts at 386-0108.
