A Scranton man was recently sentenced to probation in Carroll County District Court.
According to court documents, 32-year-old Anthony Ray Crook was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to a Class D Felony for third degree burglary and one year of probation for a serious misdemeanor for fourth degree theft. As per the plea agreement, the State agreed to drop a felony charge for first degree criminal mischief.
The deferred judgement stems from an incident on December 11, 2016. Crook stole boots and coveralls from a Carroll County resident valued between $200 and $500.
Crook was also ordered to pay civil penalties and court costs.
