Final statistics are in for the recently completed Greene County High School baseball season. Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams had a winning season at 14 wins and 13 losses. They were 5-10 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, good for seventh place among nine teams.

Highlights in the win column were a 5-4 victory over Class 3A top five rated Saydel (Des Moines), a win by an 8-0 score over 2A top five ranked Woodward-Granger, and a first round Class 3A District 15 victory over ADM last Friday, 7-4. The season ended with a 4-2 loss in Harlan on Monday night to number one and defending State champion Harlan Community in the District 15 title game.

Greene County had a .277 team batting average and the Rams were led by senior Trey Tucker. He batted an even .400 with 19 extra base hits among his 36 hits. He had one home run, seven triples, and 11 doubles. Senior Chase Stoline hit .341 and was 36 for 39 in stolen bases. Junior Wade Adcock was at .299 and junior Tom Gannon hit .297. Senior Logan Lansman hit .274 with junior Ben Wilkins at .268, sophomore Austin Delp .266, freshman Nick Breon .240, and junior Ben Bravard .207. Those were the Rams with 25 or more at bats.
