The next event in the Perry Public Library’s adult summer reading program is coming this week, and the focus will be on old furniture.
The program is called “Repurpose! Refurbish!” and will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the large meeting room. Library Director Mary Murphy says the program will show people how to upcycle their old household items and create something new. “Pat Snyder is coming into the library, and she is fantastic at refurbishing old furniture. And she is going to take us through a project of making something old something new, and something actually useful rather than an old piece of furniture that looks shabby.”
There is no cost for the program and no registration is required.
