greene-co-farmers-marketAfter taking the 4th of July holiday off, the Greene County Farmers Market starts back up this evening.

The farmers market will be held from 4 to 6pm on the east side of the courthouse in Jefferson. Featured items from vendors include: locally grown produce, like sweet corn; baked goods; meat; and crafts. There’s still time to register to be a vendor. It is $20 per week or $120 for the entire season that runs through the end of September. Call co-organizer Chris Henning about being a vendor at 370-2436.

Plus, each week, an organization provides a fundraising meal. The organizations this month include RSVP 55+ tonight, July 18th will be Jefferson Kiwanis with special music by Ken Paxton and July 25th will be Jefferson Hy-Vee.
