With the end of the 2017 campaign, here are the final statistics for the Panorama Panther baseball team.
The 2017 season had the Panthers going 4-18 and that record insured the 6th loosing season in the past 11 years for Panorama. The Panthers were a little light in the offensive category this year compared to years past with 66 RBI’s, the second fewest RBI count in the past 10 seasons. The Panthers scored a total of 98 runs off of 133 hits which averaged out to be 5 hits with almost 4.5 runs scored per contest in 2017.
The Panthers had 17 doubles, 4 triples, and a home run to boot. Panorama suffered an 8 year season low in strikeouts with just 112 on the year while being issued 56 walks. In the stolen base category, Panorama was successful in 49 out of 53 attempts. Overall, the Panther offense earned a collective batting average of .216 while slugging at a clip of .316 and an on base percentage of .341.
