The 2017 Greene County Fair starts today.

While there’s not a lot on the event schedule for today, people can still  go and check out the 4-H booths in Clover Hall.

“The theme this year is ‘Start Your Future Here.’ So there will be again, as usual, a club booth judging day that will be held Wednesday of the fair. So the clubs are encouraged to decorate their booth with that theme. What’s the best way that 4-H exhibits that theme.”

That’s Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel. Other activities going on today include several livestock weigh-ins, plus the dog agility show begins at 6pm. Some of the major items for Wednesday include the poultry show in the showring at 1pm, the dog show will take place in the bus barn at 5pm and there is a swine clinic in the showring at 5:30pm.
