At long last the wait is almost over for the West Central Valley Wildcat baseball team as they look to get back into playing action. From the round one dust settling inside class 2A’s district 15 bracket, the Wildcats now have their eyes set on their first match up of the postseason which will be against Underwood tomorrow evening.

Underwood defeated West Central Valley’s fellow conference and county foe ACGC by a 7-0 margin to earn the right to play the Wildcats tomorrow in Neola. The Wildcats are having their best season record wise since the 2013 campaign and the thing that might bring some extra motivation to this contest will be the fact that in that 2013 season, Underwood was one of the 11 losses West Central Valley suffered that year.

The Wildcats and the Eagles have not faced off since that 2013 contest and the Wildcats would look to take back the win and move on to the district 15 championship  against the winner of Tri-Center and IKM-Manning. The match up for West Central Valley against Underwood tomorrow from Neola kicks off with first pitch at 5:00 pm.
