Parts of the Raccoon River Valley have seen some change in weather conditions and are starting to enter drier conditions.

According to the US Drought Monitor, nearly all of Greene County and the northernmost edge of Dallas County is experiencing abnormally dry conditions. Fortunately, Guthrie County is not experiencing any kind of a drought. Other areas are also abnormally dry and some areas are in a moderate drought.

There’s only a slight change of rain in the immediate forecast for Greene and Dallas counties.
