Josie Bousman

Trial dates have now been set for all five suspects connected to the death investigation of 16-year-old Sabrina Ray in Perry.

Josie Bousman, the adoptive cousin of Sabrina, was the last to have her court date set. Her jury trial is set to commence on October 30th, and she will have a pretrial conference on August 25th. Marc and Misty Ray, Josie’s aunt and uncle and the adoptive parents of Sabrina, will stand trial on August 28th, with a pretrial conference on July 28th. Justin Ray, the biological son of Marc and Misty, and Carla Bousman, Misty’s mother, will both stand trial on September 18th, with a pretrial conference on August 18th. All five suspects have pleaded not-guilty to all charges. They are currently being held in the Dallas County Jail, Justin on $100,000 bond, the other four on $1 million bond each.

The charges stem from the May 12th incident where Sabrina was found dead in Marc and Misty’s home in Perry. She appeared to have suffered from neglect, malnutrition, and physical abuse. She weighed only 56 pounds at the time of her death. Marc and Misty are being charged on 11 counts each, Carla and Josie on five counts each, and Justin on four counts. See below for a full list of charges for each individual.
