The first week of June marked the end of National CPR week across the country.
Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Manager Bob Kempf tells Raccoon Valley Radio the importance of CPR remains consistent throughout the year.
“There is no skill more important than having the knowledge and confidence needed to save someone’s life at the drop of a hat. Chances are, when you are called upon to use those skills it’s going to be with someone you know and care about and you will want to know what you are doing.”
Kempf encourages everyone to take sometime to learn CPR and first aid skills. He adds there are many resources around the county, including public health, that offer classes.
