The Annual Bacoon Ride will be making it’s way through Eastern Guthrie County today and hundreds if not thousands of cyclists will be on the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright tells Raccoon Valley Radio the route is reversed from previous year’s and cyclists will enter the county to the north passing through Yale and Jamaica before reaching Panora and back out again. Arganbright says drivers should be aware of riders and remember that although they are supposed to yield to traffic they may not.

Arganbright and his deputies will be offering extra coverage of the area in anticipation of the ride and will pay special attention to the busy Highway 141 corridor.
