Jefferson MattersJefferson Matters: Main Street is hosting another Business After Hours event next week.

JMMS Program Director Peg Raney says the event will focus on business transition and how business owners think or plan for the future of their business.

“There should always be a plan of what am I going to do. If I’m going to retire, if I’m going to turn this over to family members, if I’m going to be looking for someone else to purchase my business, what is my plan?”

Small Business Development Center Director Kimberly Tiefenthaler will be the lead speaker, along with a panel including recent new business owner Bonnie Silbaugh of Fudge’s Flowers and Gifts. SBDC also offers free resources to help with the transition process.

No pre-registration is necessary for the free event. It will be held Monday, June 19th at the Jefferson Elk’s Lodge with a social time starting at 5:15 and the presentation beginning at 5:45pm. Everyone that attends will also receive one free drink ticket, sponsored by Greene County Development Corporation.
