The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday in the Dexter Elementary School Library.

At the beginning of the meeting several people addressed the board in support of the contract of Basketball Coach Nick Peasley. Peasley also spoke about how he has been accused of coaching violations involving coaching a player out of season and denied those accusations vigorously.

“I really care about my players and I am telling you I didn’t do anything out of bounds.”

The board accepted several hirings, but voted against accepting Peasley’s contract by a vote of 2-4.

The Board also accepted a bid for the supply of bread and milk and approved 2017-2018 school fees and a resolution for the transfer of funds from the general fund to student activity fund for safety and protective gear.

They finished the meeting in closed session for an evaluation of Superintendent Dr. David Arnold.
