Since the Dallas County Hospital first opened its doors in 1954, there’s been an unutilized space in the upstairs atrium area. However, work was recently completed on the wellness education center now housed in that area, and the hospital held an open house Tuesday evening to unveil it.
The event was attended by community members, hospital employees, trustees, and more. Attendees were given guided tours of the wellness education center and the offices of the hospital’s new partner, Senior Life Solutions. The event ran from 4-6 p.m., and at 5 p.m., Hospital CEO Angela Mortoza said a few words of thanks to everyone who helped make the center a reality.
