Greene County ISU Extension invites youth from kindergarten through fifth grade to a free day of fun this Saturday.
A Fun in the Park event will take place in Kelso Park in Jefferson. The day starts off with kids and their parents checking in at 9am, followed by muffins and juice being served from 9 to 9:30am. Extension Director Lori Mannel describes who the special guests are that will join in the festivities.
“We’re going to have activities and special guests, the ISU Cyclone and Greene County High School Ram football players will be there to help with the kids doing fun activities. We will have refreshments in the morning and a picnic lunch in the afternoon.”
Lunch will be hamburgers grilled by the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association. Parents and guardians can then pick up their children at 12:15pm.
The free event is sponsored by Greene County Extension and the Kids With A Connection program. Kids must pre-register for the event by calling or stopping by the Extension office in Jefferson.
In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Greene County Community Center.
