The Bell Tower Festival continues throughout the weekend, with several activities scheduled for tomorrow.
The day starts with the Jefferson Firemen’s breakfast from 6 to 10am at the fire station. The Jefferson Parks and Recreation’s Ding, Dong, Dash begins at 8am at the Greene County Community Center. Vendors and inflatables open at 9am. Other morning events include the Show & Shine Car Show from 11am to 3pm at the corner of State and Vine streets, a petting zoo from 9am to 8pm on Shadran’s south lawn and a performance by Shades of Blue from the United States Air Force Jazz Ensemble from 9:30 to 11am on the plaza stage. The parade will then begin at 11am.
You can then enjoy a free-will donation spaghetti lunch fundraiser at the Jefferson VFW Hall from noon to 3pm and there will be a free watermelon feed in front of the Masonic Lodge. The Spalding 3-on-3 basketball tournament begins at 1pm at Russell Park, an antique tractor show starts at 12:30pm in the Home State Bank parking lot, the plaza stage entertainment begins at 1:45pm, along with the jaws of life jenga competition at 1:30pm at the corner of Lincoln Way and Wilson Avenue.
A spelling bee is at 2pm at the Greene County Community Center, a trivia contest takes place at Jefferson City Hall at 3pm and the Bill Riley Talent Show begins at 5pm on the plaza stage.
Evening activities include a chicken noodle dinner at First United Methodist Church from 5 to 7pm, followed by a performance of “Johnny Guitar: The Musical” at History Boy Theatre Company at 7pm. The beverage garden entertainment will be Brad Morgan at 7pm, followed by the headliner Ladies of the 80s at 9pm.
Plus, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be there broadcasting live on Saturday from 9am to 6pm in front of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower.
