The Greene County Community Theater invites everyone to check out a unique performance tomorrow night.

Pete Grady from Marshalltown will be doing a one man show portraying the life of former US President Ulysses S. Grant.

“I’ll be walking out on stage as Grant as an old man and I’ll be reviewing all of the momentous events of his life. It involves a powerpoint presentation that talks about cartoons and photographs from the era, and maps showing how things work both in the Mexican War and the Civil War.”

He urges everyone to come and support the local theater group.

“It’s my hope that we can raise some money for the Greene County Community Theater so that you folks will have the same opportunities to put on shows, act and do all the wonderful things that are involved with amatuer theater that we are able to do in Marshalltown.”

The show will be at the Jefferson Elks Lodge at 7:30pm Friday. Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door. All proceeds will go back to the community theater group for future productions.
