A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department in the 300 block of North Oak Street.
A deputy investigated a runaway in the 700 block of South 11th Street, Grand Junction. The Juvenile was located and returned home.
A deputy investigated a stolen sandal from the basketball court at the Grand Junction Intermediate school.
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle at E Avenue and 290th Street.
Tuesday, June 6th
A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 2300 block of E Avenue.
A deputy assisted with getting a horse back in its lot in the 1000 block of Orchard Avenue.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a Semi vs Tractor in the 2400 block of 130th Street. Vehicle 1 was a 1996 Freight Liner semi with an empty grain trailer. Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on 130th Street. The driver was Troy Shaw 25 of Harcourt. Vehicle 1 struck vehicle 2 that was also eastbound. Vehicle 2 was 1965 Farmall 656 Tractor. Pat Fields 47 of Paton. Vehicle 1 pushed Vehicle 2 into the north ditch. Patrick Fields was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, Paton Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to the Scene. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 200 block of Lawrence Street, Dana.
A deputy investigated a trespass complaint at 9th Street and Railroad in Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 800 block of Hills Street, Churdan.
A deputy investigated an accident on U Avenue near 215th Street. The vehicle was not located.
Wednesday, June 7th
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on U Avenue near 290th Street.
A deputy investigated a hay fire near T Avenue and 295th Street, Rippey Fire, Perry Fire, Grand Junction Fire, and Jefferson Fire responded to the fire.
A deputy investigated a hay grinder truck that was on fire on 230th Street and U Avenue. The driver of the truck put the smoldering hay out on his own.
A deputy assisted DHS in the 1000 block of East Railroad Street, Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
