Bryan SnellA Coon Rapids man who pled guilty in May to a felony for his third or subsequent offense charge for an OWI now faces additional charges in Guthrie County.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, on May 5 Bryan Snell was arrested in Bayard for drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, driving while barred, and driving while revoked while under the influence, which are all misdemeanors, as well as a Class D Felony for an OWI. The Sheriff’s office says Snell’s final toxicology results came back positive which indicated he was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time he was stopped.

Snell faces similar charges from a March 3rd incident after a Greene County Deputy stopped his vehicle for not properly displaying license plates at 335th Street and Apple Avenue. Snell gave the deputy a false name and when the deputy ran his information, he got out of his vehicle and fled on foot. The deputy caught and arrested him.

Snell was charged and pled guilty to  misdemeanors for driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of interference with official acts.

Snell’s sentencing hearing for the Greene County charges is scheduled for July 14th.
