It’s June, which means the start of our local farmers markets, including the Greene County farmers market.
Co-Organizer Chris Henning says the farmers markets starts tomorrow and will be held every Tuesday through the end of September from 4 to 6pm. Each market will be on the east side of the Greene County courthouse in Jefferson. The only time the farmers market won’t be held is on the 4th of July.
Tomorrow the farmers market will feature seven vendors and it’s a chance for everyone to purchase locally grown produce, baked goods and crafts. Anyone wanting to sell their items at the farmers market can do so for a weekly fee of $20 or $120 for the entire season. Contact Henning at 370-2436 or Nancy Rogers at 712-210-1001. Jack Schilling will also be on-hand to help run the market, as well as setting up and tearing down.
