A Prayer Service for Dane Kious, 86, of Jefferson, IA will be 10:30 am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson.  Interment will be at Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, IA. Visitation will begin after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Dane is survived by his wife Betty Kious of Jefferson, IA; his children: Mike Kious of Bella Vista, AR, Jeff Kious of Omaha, NE, Rosemary  Tucker of Jefferson, IA, Carol Ann Gray of Omaha, NE, and Sandra Alsup of Gravette, AR; daughter-in-law Penny Kious of Jefferson, IA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
