Next Saturday in Adel, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the 9th annual Special Olympics All-Wheel Show.

A wide assortment of vehicles will be on display along the square in downtown Adel, as “anything with wheels” is welcome, according to Sheriff Chad Leonard. The event will start at 10 a.m. with registration. The show will run until 1 p.m., and vehicles can be registered at any time before then. Judging will take place between 1-2 p.m., and the awards will be given out at 2:30. Awards include Best of Show, Special Olympics Choice, most likely to be stopped by a cop, “Bad Bike,” long distance, and top 20 awards.

Early registration has closed, but people can still register their vehicles the day of the show for $15. All the proceeds raised from registrations and during the event will benefit the Special Olympics of Iowa. The Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will be on hand to play music at the All-Wheel Show.
