Beta Tau Delta recently recognized Teresa Green with the Children’s Champion Award.

She was recognized for her work with youth, and the time she has sent as volunteer outside of her career as an educator with the Greene County School District. Green has helped at-risk kids; assisting them in finding clothes from the closet for the homeless; volunteering before and after school to help students write resumes, find jobs, preparing for interviews and much more. She is also the founder of the Interact Club and helps students during the school year through community service projects like leaf-raking and roadside trash pick-up days.

The award isn’t given out annually, but Beta Tau Delta wanted to recognize Green for her efforts in supporting the youth of Greene County.

Green was honored with the award at the Greene County High School senior awards ceremony.
