A trial date has been set for Marc and Misty Ray, who are charged in the death of their 16-year-old adopted daughter, Sabrina Ray.

According to court documents, the Rays will go to trial on August 28th at 9:30 a.m. at the Dallas County courthouse. A pretrial conference will take place one month before on July 28th. They are each being charged with one count of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony, four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony, and three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, a class C felony.

The charges stem from a May 12th incident where Sabrina was found dead in their house. Three other juveniles, who were also adopted children of the Rays, were discovered unsupervised at the home, two of which were put into physicians care. The initial autopsy on Sabrina revealed she was severely malnourished, weighing only 56 pounds at the time of her death.

Court documents show Marc and Misty have both pleaded not guilty to all charges. They are currently being held in the Dallas County jail, each on $1 million bond. They have made a motion to reduce their bond amount, though that motion has been delayed.
