Greene County Supervisors 5_22The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved a construction permit for Mid-American Energy for their Beaver Creek Wind Project and a cigarette permit for Paton Pit Stop.

County Engineer Wade Weiss gave an update. He said they are going to block off a few parking spots on the north side of Lincoln Way and the east side of Wilson Avenue by the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower starting Tuesday for equipment to be brought in to install the 42 additional bells. The Board also directed Weiss to contact Brooks, Borg and Skiles about subcontracting work to re-water seal the bell tower to keep water from leaking in.

Finally, Supervisor Vice-Chair Dawn Rudolph mentioned that Elderbridge Agency and Aging will no longer have a meal site in Scranton, but will continue to deliver meals to patrons. She brought up the idea of converting the meal site into a daycare facility. No action was taken by the Board following the discussion.
