There were several storms this week that came through Greene County leaving behind some major damage.
Tuesday night a lightning struck a shed in Cooper and burned it to the ground. Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says it took very little time for the shed to burn down. About $8,000 of construction equipment was lost in the fire. A tree branch fell in Grand Junction, knocking out a power line in the 200 block of South 7th Street. Then on Wednesday, another round of thunderstorms caused a large tree branch to fall onto the first story roof of Alice Wedemeyer’s home in Rippey.
