A Boone man faces charges for an incident in Scranton.
Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says just before 2:30pm Tuesday, a deputy responded to a call of an alleged assault incident in the 600 block of Main Street in Scranton. Daniel Knippel bought a car from a Scranton resident and the car broke down shortly after he purchased it. The victim agreed to give Knippel his money back, but then refused after Knippel returned the vehicle. Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Knippel went back to the victim’s house with the tire iron to threaten the individual.
The deputy arrested Knippel and charged him with a Class C Felony for intimidation with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanors for third degree harassment and trespassing.
Knippel was booked into the Greene County jail and was released on his own recognizance later that evening.
