Today is the day of the annual Market to Market Relay, which will be coming through Dallas County.

The race starts in Jefferson and goes through Guthrie County before heading into Dallas County. The runners will enter between Panora and Linden, heading then to Redfield. From there, they will go to Kennedy Station and onto Adel. After Adel, they go through Ortonville, Waukee, and then Clive as they head to the finish line in downtown Des Moines.

The whole course is 75 miles, and will take place on bike trails, gravel roads, and paved roads. Because of this, motorists are advised to keep a close eye out for runners throughout the day. The first runners will take off at 6 a.m. from Jefferson, with the last groups starting at 9 a.m. There will be around 2,500 runners participating in the event, which is expected to conclude around sundown.
