Greene County High School saw its boys’ golf season end on Friday at a Class 3A Sectional tournament at Majestic Hills Golf Course at Denison. The Rams were seventh in the eight team field, although Coach Dave Destival said the team beat the goal he set for them on the day.

Junior Elijah Block led the Rams with a round of 39-40=79, which tied him for ninth place. The top four individuals and top two teams advance to District play next Friday. The other three Rams that had their scores count in the team total were senior Isaiah Yoder 45-44=89, junior Ben Wilkins 48-44=92, and freshman Jadon Block 47-47=94.

Atlantic won the team title at 310 and ADM was second at 319. Both advance to the District, as does the meet medalist, Jake Olsen of Atlantic (73), Jacob Schumacher of ADM (74), plus Kyle Somers of Creston (75), and Koby Paulsen of Carroll (75).

Carroll was third at 325 with Harlan Community 327, Denison-Schleswig 333, Glenwood 340, Greene County 354, and Creston 365.
