The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have released the full list of Coed State Track & Field qualifiers, including those qualifying on an at-large basis, and Perry and Greene County both have at-large events.
On the boys’ side, Perry has automatic qualifiers Reece Dunlap in the 200 meter dash and Brandon Kenyon in the 800 meter run, plus five at-large qualifiers. Those are Dunlap and Adan Medina in the 400 meter dash, plus the 4 x 400 meter relay of Dunlap, Kenyon, Rashon Ivory, and Medina. In addition, the 4 x 800 is an at-large qualifier with Kenyon, Ivory, Zachory Thompson, and Kaleb Olejniczak, and so is the sprint medley relay with Manassess Martinez, Kenyon, Dunlap, and Medina.
Greene County boys have one automatic qualifier in Carter Morton in the high jump, and one at-large qualifying event, the 4 x 100 meter relay with Logan Lansman, Chase Stoline, Colby Kafer, and Nick Schroeder.
The girls from Perry have automatic qualifiers in Grace Stewart in the 3,000 meter run, and the distance medley relay of Rachel Kinney, Breanna Peneger, Haley Vaughn, and Sidney Vancil. The Jayettes have no at-large qualifiers.
The Greene County girls have automatic qualifiers in the long jump with Janelle Brophy, the 200 meter dash with Olivia Hansen, and the sprint medley relay with Megan Doran, Megan Durbin, Melanie Doran, and Hansen. Durbin is a high jump at-large qualifier.
The Coed State Meet is May 18-19-20 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
