Add baseball to the list of ADM sports that have sent an athlete to the college level.

Today ADM’s very own baseball standout Jack O’Brian will be officially signing his letter of intent to play for the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat baseball team next year. O’Brian’s signing comes just over a week after former softball standout Kenzi Sutton joined the Lady Bearcat softball team. Both will join former ADM football standout Jordan Grove who currently resides in the Bearcat football program.

O’Brian’s talents on the diamond proved him to be one of ADM’s premier talents last season leading the team in 8 statistical categories. O’Brian’s batting average never dropped below .300 last season on his way to batting .333 for the year. O’Brian totaled a team best 18 RBI’s, 30 singles, 5 doubles, and two triples to go along with a team leading 37 hits. Out of his 111 at bats on the season, O’Brian had the teams second best count for quality at bats with 58 all while making contact with 91% of the pitches thrown his way.

In two seasons with the Tigers, O’Brian has put down 49 hits, 20 RBI’s, and posted up a combined batting average of .301 and a slugging percentage of .380.

O’Brian will sign his letter of intent for Northwest Missouri State this afternoon beginning at 3:35 pm.
