Kaleb Hoyle of Grand Junction, an eighth grader at Greene County middle school, is a State Champion. The son of JJ and Teresa Hoyle won the 2017 Professional Kennel Club (PKC) Iowa Youth State Championship earlier this month in Troy, Iowa, for his hunting abilities with a dog named Caney Creek Joker, owned by Dan Walker.
Along with the title of State Champion, Hoyle won a $200 entry in the 2017 PKC Cedar River Classic Four Wheeler Hunt in Nashua, IA, October 13-14. Kaleb has been hunting for a relatively short time.
PKC is the nation’s largest organization devoted to the registration of coon hounds, and to the sport of competitive raccoon hunting.
