The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.

A portion of the meeting was devoted to an update regarding the North Raccoon Valley Watershed Coalition. Supervisor Mark Hanson and Dallas County Emergency Management Coordinator Barry Halling recently attended a meeting. The watershed, along with nine other watershed coalitions in the area, will get some portion of a nearly $97 million Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant, though they’re not yet sure how the money will be used. Hanson also said they should know by May 17th which cities located in the watershed will officially join the coalition.

Other items the Board went over include approving the certificate of final completion for the 902 Court Street renovation project, an information technology department workshop, and further discussion of the proposed law enforcement center. The law enforcement center will be further discussed tonight at a town hall meeting in Adel, which the Supervisors will attend.
