Guthrie County ISU Extension will host a bi-weekly program for women in ag this spring and summer. The program brings women in the agricultural industry together to learn more about Iowa crop production. The goal of the program is to allow for better decision-making and provide for better communication with their spouse, farming partner, ag retailer or tenant. Janae Eisentrager with Extension describes the topics that will be covered. “Mike (Witt) will discuss crop growth and development, pasture management, pest management principles, scouting techniques, cover crops, and water quality.”
The program is free and will be led by Mike Witt of Guthrie County Extension. Contact Witt or the Extension office at 641-747-2267 with any questions.
