There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to the ADM Tiger soccer teams especially with the recent class rankings.
On the boys side, the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association released their week two rankings early this week and within the top twelve for the second straight week lie the ADM boys soccer team ranked 11th. Coach Bill Shield’s team fell four spots from last week with a pair of 4-0 wins against Council Bluffs St. Albert and Boone while suffering setbacks against class 3A Des Moines East and now 2A 9th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock.
On the girls side of things, the Lady Tigers ended 2016 inside the top five ranked teams in class 2A, and that is exactly where they reside currently, ranked 4th in the first 2A rankings of 2017. The Lady Tigers only have one game under their 2017 belts which was a dominant 10-0 victory against conference foe Carroll.
Both teams will be back in action today with a pair of home meets and both will be entering into match ups that favor the Tigers. The Tiger boys will have the luxury of playing their home match up in the comforts of Tiger stadium against a Knoxville team ADM has defeated the last four straight seasons. The Lady Tiger soccer team will find themselves back at Island Park taking on a Norwalk team they’ve taken wins from the past five years straight and outscoring 15-1. Both matches will take place in Adel at 7:00 pm this evening.
