Panorama High School hosted the Kip Janvrin Invitational Coed track & field meet in Panora last night under some of the better conditions of the early season. Temperatures were in the upper 50’s at the start and upper 40’s at the end of the meet with mostly cloudy skies and crosswinds from the north on the east-west track.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center won the girls’ team title with 133 points with Panorama second at 125.5. Madrid had 119 with Greene County at 66.5, Ogden 54, Woodward-Granger 46, Glidden-Ralston 33, and nine for Iowa Christian Academy (West Des Moines).

The W-G boys won the team title with 120 points to 114 for Greene County. ACGC was third at 101 with 97 for Panorama, 73 by Ogden, 47 from ICA, and 34 by G-R.

Greene County was first in seven events including two winning performances by freshman Carter Morton. He won the high jump at 5′ 8″ and was first in the 400 meter low hurdles in 1:01.04. Logan Lansman won the 100 meter dash in 11.79 seconds with Nick Schroeder first in the 400 meter dash in 54.64 seconds. A trio of relays from Greene County placed first. They were the 4 x 110 meter shuttle hurdle relay in 1:09.47 with Chase Stoline, Morton, Spencer Whipple, and Brandon Bollig; 4 x 100 meter relay in :46.55 with Lansman, Stoline, Jordan Patterson, and Schroeder; sprint medley relay in 1:41.38 with Stoline, Patterson, Lansman, and Schroeder.

Second place finishes for the Rams came from Kolin Reed in the high jump (5′ 8″). Stoline in the 110 meter high hurdles (:17.12), and Schroeder in the 200 meter dash (:24.16).

Megan Durbin won the high jump at 5′ 2″ for the lone event victory for the Greene County girls. The Rams were second in the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1:55.17 with Laurin Lyons, Melanie Doran, Olivia Hansen, and Durbin, and second in the sprint medley relay in 2:00.27 with Megan Doran, Lyons, Melanie Doran, and Hansen.

The Greene County teams are off until the April 10 Carroll Coed Invitational.
