All two through five year-olds and their families are invited to the 12th annual Toddler Fest in Jefferson.

The Greene County Libraries Association and the Board of Supervisors have teamed up to once again put on the free event. It includes 20 booths of family-friendly activities and information that encourages all youngsters to “Bee a Reader.” Other activities includes fishing at a camp site, building a block tower and shopping at a grocery store.

The event features Iowa Public Television’s Martha from Martha Speaks, along with Scholastic’s Clifford the Big Red Dog. They will be available for photos with the kids. A new addition is a fire trailer to teach kids about fire safety with the Jefferson Fire Department and the Jefferson Elks Lodge.

The free come-and-go event will be held from 10am to noon at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson this Saturday. No pre-registration is necessary.
