About 150 people attended Tuesday night’s Celebrate Adel event from the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce.

The evening highlights all those volunteers and contributors that made 2016 a success year for the Chamber. The guest speaker was the CEO of Greater Des Moines Partnership Jay Byers. Adel recently became a new member of the organization. Another major highlight are the 2016 Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year awards. The 2016 Citizen of the Year went to the McAdon Family. The award is given to an individual or a group that is involved in the community. The recipient of the 2016 Business of the Year was Fareway. That award is given to a Chamber member business that has gone above and beyond in service to the community.
