With the addition of more stop lights along Highway 141, traffic can really get backed up during the morning and evening commutes. Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson recently attended an informative Iowa DOT 80/35 Rider Corner project to explain some changes coming this summer.
“I know we have quite a few people in Perry who commute to work every day and it seems like that number is growing each year so I thought it would be beneficial to find out what will be happening later this summer. I know their plans are to alleviate some of the long commute wait times which can be a real pain for a lot of people.”
Peterson was one of several western suburb city representatives anxious to hear the plans.
“I felt that it would be in Perry’s best interest to find out more about the DOT’s plans. Commute time is a key factor when people are looking for a place to live so a shorter commute will help our Perry folks who work in Des Moines.”
Tomorrow we will break down the DOT’s specific plans for the I 80/35 Rider Corner project.
