There are several meetings and activities coming up next for the Greene County 4-H’ers.
Extension 4-H Coordinator Kayla Hyett says the first of two horse project meetings will be on April 1st at 11am at the Extension office in Jefferson. Those 4-H’ers wanting to exhibit a horse at the county fair, must attend at least one meeting. The dog project will also be hosting a fundraiser on April 1st. A dog-related painting class will be at Art on the Fly and the cost to attend is $40.
Three Clover Kids programs are starting up soon. The traditional one-day Clover Kids program is scheduled for April 22nd at Clover Hall on the fairgrounds. First through third graders can learn about the 4-H program and take home some projects that they can show at this year’s county fair. Finally, a new Clover Kid program is a dog club for first through third graders. Participants can show their canine in the costume contest at the fair.
