The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.
The Board approved a payroll change notice for the Sheriff’s office as presented, along with a temporary road closure for the 130th Street bridge replacement project. Additionally, the Board approved a contract with iPpathways for $229,938 to replace the current informational technology centralized storage system.
The Board then discussed the 121 North 9th Street building project. It was mentioned that the roof is leaking and that a contractor recommended to replace it. It was also mentioned that the heating and cooling unit should be assessed before the roof is replaced.
A presentation on the proposed $22.9 million referendum for a new law enforcement center for county employees. Following the presentation, the Board agreed to move forward with putting a budget together with different advertising agencies on the bond referendum. The budget is not to exceed $30,000.
Finally, the Board approved to negotiate and enter into a contract with Nyemaster Law Firm in Des Moines as legal counsel for annexation with the City of Adel.
