The American Cancer Society is recruiting teams and sponsors of local families, businesses, schools, places of worship, and the community as a whole, to participate in the annual Relay For Life of Guthrie County on June 16, from 4 to 10pm at the ACGC High School track in Guthrie Center.

A St. Paddy’s Day Kiss the Blarney Stone Relay For Life 9 pin handicap individual bowling tournament is scheduled for Friday, March 17, starting at 3 p.m. at Incredibowl in Guthrie Center. Organizer Kim Durst tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event is a great way to learn more about getting involved in the battle against cancer.

“We will be there all the way to midnight, so you’ll have plenty of chances to come out, enjoy the evening, learn about Relay and sign up a team.”

Relay For Life information will be available and team registrations will be accepted. The committee will be reaching out to past teams in the next week if they haven’t already registered.
