Everyone is invited to the annual fundraiser event for the Jefferson Fire Department this weekend.

Chief Jack Williams says the Firemen’s Ball will be in Clover Hall on the fairgrounds in Jefferson on Saturday, March 11th from 8pm to midnight. The Jay Clyde Band will be performing. Williams talks about how successful their event has been in the past.

“Normally we actually sell or get more donations than we have people that show up to it, which is still good. We average about $8,000-$10,000 that we raise from this event. And it’s always used, like last year’s money was used to purchase a new set of jaws (of life) for the fire department.”

Tickets are $5 per person and are available at the door.
